We follow UK safeguarding guidance and best practices to ensure all students are safeguarded during their time with us.

3. Our Responsibilities
We are committed to:

Promoting the welfare of children and young people

Ensuring staff understand safeguarding procedures

Responding promptly and appropriately to safeguarding concerns

Working in partnership with parents and relevant authorities when required
4. Safer Recruitment
We take recruitment seriously and ensure that:

All tutors and staff undergo appropriate background checks (including DBS where applicable)

References are verified

Staff receive safeguarding training

Professional conduct is maintained at all times
5. Recognising Abuse
Staff are trained to recognise signs of potential abuse, including:

Any concerns are reported immediately to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
6. Reporting Concerns
If a safeguarding concern arises:

It must be reported to the Designated Safeguarding Lead without delay

All concerns are recorded accurately and confidentially

Appropriate action is taken, including contacting external agencies if required
7. Code of Conduct
All staff must:

Treat students with respect and professionalism

Maintain appropriate boundaries

Never be alone with a child in an unsupervised setting

Avoid physical contact unless necessary for safety

Never communicate with students privately outside approved channels
8. Online Safety
For online tuition, we ensure:

Lessons are conducted via approved platforms

Sessions are supervised where possible

Staff maintain professional online behaviour

No recordings are made without parental consent
9. Confidentiality
Safeguarding information is handled sensitively and shared only with those who need to know in order to protect the child.
10. Review of Policy
This safeguarding policy is reviewed annually and updated as required to reflect current legislation and best practices.
